Chateau Suduirant Sauternes Sweet Wine 1982 750ml (Tax Included)

Château Suduiraut is one of the most beautiful wine of the Sauternes appellation. 

Composed of a traditional blend for the AOC, Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, this Premier Cru Classé from 1982 presents an amber colour, characteristic of the old Sauternes. 

On the nose, Château Suduiraut 1982 releases a superb herbaceous bouquet of honeysuckle, medicinal herbs and notes of ripe white fruit. The colour and nose evoke a lighter, airier cognac. 

On the palate, Suduiraut 1982 complicates. Ample and powerful, it reveals fruity and greedy aromas in abundance: candied nectarines and peaches, honey, hazelnuts and white flowers, interspersed with herbaceous aromas already present in the nose in a perfect aromatic balance. 

The finish is long and particularly persistent.

The 1982 Suduiraut is the odd man out. In a period when the château languished in the doldrums, 1982 pulled victory from the unlikeliest growing seasons. The bouquet shades the 1983 and the 1986 with effervescent Japanese yuzu, marmalade and apricot aromas, developing attractive candlewax notes just behind. The palate is well balanced with just a touch of crème brûlée, lime cordial and honey, fanning out gentle towards the well defined finish. One of the unexpected delights from Sauternes in this vintage.
