FREEDOM Catalonia Sparking NV (HK Edition Memorable)

The winery producing FREEDOM is located in Catalonia. It turns out they held a referendum in 2017, and in commemoration, the winery specially crafted this FREEDOM sparkling wine. The owner also took note of the situation in Hong Kong. After communication, the owner decided to specially print "Hong Kong Add Oil" and the Catalonia flag on the back label of our wine bottles, letting the people of Hong Kong know that we are not alone.

The original first batch of FREEDOM was a CAVA sparkling wine. However, after the winery produced the first batch of FREEDOM, they received notice from the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture that they were not allowed to use CAVA (Spanish sparkling wine) to produce FREEDOM anymore. But like us, the winery felt that this wine was very meaningful and couldn't allow it to stop production. After lengthy negotiations, the winery decided to replace it with another sparkling wine produced in Catalonia on par with Cava quality and also made from Parellada, Macabeo, and Xarel-lo grapes. Therefore, FREEDOM can finally be properly named "Catalan Freedom Sparkling NV" .

Grape Varieties: 20% Parellada, 40% Macabeo, 40% Xarel-lo

Alcohol Content: 11.5%

Sweetness: Off-Dry

Tasting Notes: Lemon, mango, pineapple aroma, smooth on the palate, persistent bubbles, medium to long aftertaste, suitable for pairing with seafood and oysters

自由加泰羅尼亞氣酒(香港加油特別版)

在2019年，在一位手足離開我地的當日，我地嘅品酒師係西班牙一個小鎮見到呢枝酒（當時並沒有”香港加油”back label)，醉貓深受感動，決定親自聯絡酒莊莊主，了解此汽酒FREEDOM的故事。FREEDOM氣酒嘅酒莊位於Catalonia，原來她們曾在2017年進行公投，酒莊莊主隨後為紀念此事，而特別釀製出呢枝汽酒FREEDOM。莊主亦有留意香港的情況，經過多番溝通後，莊主決定特登為我們在酒瓶後印上”香港加油”及Catalonia旗的Back Label，讓香港人知道，我們 並不孤單。

原本的第一批FREEDOM為CAVA氣酒，但當酒莊生產左第一批FREEDOM後接到通知，西班牙農業部門不容許酒莊再用CAVA（西班牙氣酒)來生產FREEDOM。

但酒莊同我哋一樣，覺得呢枝酒好有意義，唔可以俾佢停產，經過長時間嘅協商，最後酒莊決定以另一款同是生產於Catalonia，質素相近CAVA的Sparkling Wine 來替代。故此，FREEDOM終於可以正名為”自由加泰羅尼亞氣酒”

真真正正係一枝Catalonia為支持香港而生產的氣酒

 此氣酒最佳儲存溫度為12至16度，存放在陰涼處，避免太陽直接照射

如果放雪櫃的話，因為怕cork會變乾，最好半年內飲用

提子品種: 20% Parellada, 40% Macabeo, 40% Xarel-lo

酒精度: 11.5%

甜度: Off-Dry

Tasting note: 檸檬、芒果、菠蘿香味，入口潤滑，汽泡持久，適合配海鮮、生蠔
